Jeff’s radio news takes a look at the radio industry from a national perspective when he talks about what’s going on in Detroit and Philadelphia as well as what’s happening else whereon the street. We continue with the July Personal People Meter.
Jenny’s call letter and format segment has lots of format changes this week. Several new stations sign on out West, and Alabama loses a few stations to sign off.
Walt’s Retro Radio for this week features an aircheck of Art Roberts on WLS from August 25, 1967,
and a jingle demo. CRC’s series 8 prepared in 1958 for San Diego’s KCBQ.
Bill’s Market scope features a new stream on the web. WITZ Am And FM from Jasper Indiana. WITZ has served southwest Indiana for a long time. They have a great local news department, and outstanding local sports.
They are an adult contemporary format with a huge dose of oldies. This is local radio done well.
Jeff’s featured station this week features May 1971. First with an aircheck of KGFJ AM from Los Angeles, California. We will wrap thing up with the Pepper Tanner jingles from 1964 used by KGFJ AM.
